Erwin gets up and moves to the kettle. He deliberately keeps his movements slow and steady, easy to follow with the eye. Doing anything fast or moving frenetically will just put Levi more on edge, the way he's feeling right now, and Erwin isn't going to do anything to make him jumpier.
"No, probably not." Erwin isn't delusional; he knows Kimbley is dangerous and unhinged. But he's also always been a gambler, and he wonders if there's something underneath the posturing and devil-may-care attitude. What if the man is just lonely? What if having someone on his side would actually make a difference to him?
Erwin has known a few people like that.
"We've known a lot of dangerous people." Erwin opens the cupboard and gets two mugs down. Then he fetches a box of herbal tea and offers it to Levi for measuring and eventual seeping. "And I'd argue that we can be dangerous ourselves, when we put our minds to it."
